General Precautions for Steel Bars in Reinforcement

  1. Steel bars are clear, free from loose mill scales, dust, and loose rust coats of paints, oil, or other coatings which can destroy or reduce bond strength.
  2. Steel bars should be stored in such how on avoid distortion and to stop deterioration and corrosion.
  3. Bars should not be clean with oily substances to get rid of rust.
